Bartonella quintana infection/ trench fever
Bartonella quintana infection (historically called ‘trench fever’) is a vector-borne disease primarily transmitted by the human body louse. It has been recognised as a re-emerging pathogen among impoverished and homeless populations — so-called ‘urban trench fever’.
