In 2019, 30 EU/EEA countries reported 83 confirmed cases of botulism. Sixteen EU/EEA countries reported zero cases. The overall notification rate was 0.02 cases per 100 000 population. Romania notified the highest number of cases (N=23) and presented the highest notification rate (0.12 cases per 100 000 population).
