European Antibiotic Awareness Day 2022 - launch event

To mark the 15th European Antibiotic Awareness Day, ECDC hosted a launch event with the theme “Preventing Antimicrobial Resistance Together”, an acknowledgement and reminder that keeping antibiotics working is everyone’s responsibility.

The event featured high-level keynote speakers as well as a scientific panel. Stakeholders representing different sectors were able to take the floor and share actions and initiatives that are currently taking place.

Together, they provided an overview of the latest antimicrobial resistance data and policy action, and discussed further needs to address this global health issue.
