This report provides an analysis of the external quality assessment (EQA) performance of laboratories participating in the European Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance Network (EARS-Net) in 2017. A total of 893 laboratories participated in the EQA exercise. Six bacterial strains were used: Acinetobacter baumannii complex,
Enterococcus faecium, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pneumoniae.
