A systematic literature review on the diagnostic accuracy of serological tests for Lyme borreliosis
Lyme borreliosis is caused by spirochetes of the Borrelia burgdorferi species complex, which are transmitted by several species of Ixodid ticks. In Europe, at least five genospecies of the Borrelia burgdorferi complex can cause disease, leading to a wide variety of clinical manifestations.This report provides an overview of the diagnostic accuracy of serological tests for different target conditions of Lyme borreliosis.
