Urban TB control: why is it important?

The EU shows 2 epidemiological patterns of Tuberculosis: in high incidence countries TB is widespread; in low incidence countries, it is concentrated in large cities. In these big European cities there is a high number of TB cases in vulnerable groups, which are hard for the health systems to reach.
