| | | | | | Observed prevalence of HAIs with 95% confidence intervals and predicted prevalence of HAI in acute care hospitals based on patient case-mix and hospital characteristics, by country, ECDC PPS 2011-2012 |
| | | | | | | |
| | | | | | This report has been generated from HAI-Net PPS data submitted to TESSy, The European Surveillance System on 2023-05-03. The report reflects the state of submissions in TESSy as of 2013-02-06 14:06:48 Predicted values were calculated based on a multiple logistic regression model, applying the EU/EEA average risk to individual patient risk factors, specialties and hospital types in each country (standardisation, see ECDC PPS report). Specific footnote(s) for 2011-2012 ECDC PPS: • Denmark: upper limit of 95% confidence interval (CI) not included, HAI prevalence=9.8% (95% CI: 1.0–52.7). • *Country representativeness of the PPS data was optimal or good in 25 (76%) countries, and poor or very poor in 8 (24%) countries. Countries (number of participating hospitals) with poor representativeness were: Austria (n=9), Croatia (n=11), Czech Republic (n=14), Estonia (n=4), Norway (n=7), Romania (n=10) and countries with very poor representativeness were Denmark (n=3) and Sweden (n=4) and are indicated by a “*” in maps and tables. |
